3 - 13 - 18  Revisited Cuba from February 27 to March 11 and couldn't wait to return.  Lovely, mild, sunny days awaited us in Havana, where we stayed in last years Casa Particular in Central Havana with Fina and Daniel.  A lovely couple who arranged places for us to stay in Trinidad and Varadero, along with getting us a collective taxi to take us on the road.  While in Havana we had the pleasure of seeing the ballet "Giselle" at the Grand Theatre of Havana.  We saw more tourists from around the world who are now flocking here from New Zealand, takes 24 hours, Czech Republic, Brazil, Estonia, Germany, France and of course the snowbirds from Canada.  Travelling south to Trinidad, took us thru the countryside, where farmers grew pineapple, sugarcane and mangoes.  Trinidad is an UNESO World Heritage town with cobblestone streets, old markets and churches.  A quaint town with people who want to talk to all the tourists.  Heading back north to the pristine beach of Varadero, with it's turquoise Caribbean waters, was once again welcoming.
Looking forward to visiting the eastside of Cuba, Holguin, Santiago de Cuba, Baracoa, at the very tip of Cuba and the Caribbean town of Guardalavaca.  Viva Cuba!

3 - 13 - 17  Finally, visited Cuba from February 28 to March 11, '17.  Had a direct flight from JFK to Havana and everything went very smooth.  Stayed in a Casa Particular in Central Havana and was able to walk to most places and Old Havana.  Many museums, cultural institutions, galleries, jazz concerts and ballet are available to see.  People are all very friendly and are now able to get Wi-Fi in all the hotels and various outdoors places, including their Central Park.  After exploring and photographing the architecture and it's people, the owner of the Casa made arrangements for a Collective Taxi to take us to Boca de Camarioca and Varadero on the Caribbean coast.  We wanted to stay in Boca, where the local Cubans live and had an entire 2nd floor of a house, all to ourselves. Love it all and looking forward to revisiting a different area of Cuba.  Viva Cuba!
